Book launch!

#CuriousMoments with Advita

Can you say you’ve written a book if you don’t host a book launch party? As Priya Bates, ABC, MC, SCMP, IABC Fellow was attending #InnerRebel2023 in person, it seemed silly not to take advantage and host a mini book launch in Manchester.

Thanks to the generosity of Haiilo, we hosted the event at Huckletree with pizza from Harry’s Pszza (the best in the North West) and drinks from the local cash n carry ????.

At the launch, we wanted to share why we wrote the book and its purpose. Building a culture of inclusivity is a constant action – it’s not something you can tick off and then move on to the next thing. It takes learning, unlearning, conversations and, most importantly, support. You can’t do this alone, but we know it isn’t always easy to share or know where to start. So our hope is that our book is your constant companion throughout your journey.

If you want to understand more about where your organisation may sit regarding inclusion, our DEI E-volution assessment is a great place to start. It’ll take you two minutes, and the results will be emailed immediately.

If you’ve started to read our book and you’ve found it helpful, please do let us know. We’d love to hear what you think. We’re already thinking about edition two, so let us know what you’d like to see next time.

The buzz at the launch was vibrant, and the energy was incredible. It felt so weird hearing people talk about the book and ask for signed copies. It honestly filled my heart with joy to see so much enthusiasm. Thank you to everyone who came along to the launch. Your support means a lot to both of us.

Huge thank you again to Haiilo, who made it all possible.
